TiE Entrepreneurship Summit 2013

The TiE Entrepreneurship Summit 2013 (TES), Asia’s largest annual conference in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, was organized from 18th December to 20th December 2013 in Hyderabad. The theme of the edition was “Yes, You Can! Dream Think-Achieve”. The TiE Entrepreneurship Summit significantly impacted the city’s business landscape, particularly for entrepreneurs and the startup ecosystem. By bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders, including seasoned entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders, the summit facilitated invaluable networking opportunities that fostered collaboration and investment. The presence of over 200 influential speakers from across the globe, sharing their success stories and insights, inspired local entrepreneurs, motivating them to innovate and pursue their ventures with renewed vigour. This exchange of ideas and experiences helped cultivate a culture of entrepreneurship in Hyderabad, positioning the city as a vibrant hub for new business initiatives. The focus on showcasing innovative startups attracted attention from potential investors and partners, creating pathways for funding and growth. As a result, the summit contributed to increased economic activity and job creation, further establishing Hyderabad as a leading destination for entrepreneurship in India.

TiE Global Summit 2020

The TiE Global Summit (TGS) 2020, hosted virtually by TiE Hyderabad, was one of the largest online gatherings of entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders from across the globe, marking a landmark event in the history of the TiE community. Held during the COVID-19 pandemic, the summit seamlessly adapted into a virtual format, which made it accessible to a global audience, connecting entrepreneurs across the world, fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and support borders. The summit included sessions by successful entrepreneurs, policy makers and venture capitalists who spoke about emerging trends globally and the need for resilience and innovation amidst global challenges. It also served as a platform for networking, mentorship and knowledge sharing, which reinforced TiE’s commitment to the entrepreneur community, especially during uncertain times. The impact of TGS 2020 was profound, as it not only facilitated business connections across geographies but also gave visibility to Hyderabad’s role in the global startup ecosystem and laid the groundwork for future collaborations across TiE chapters worldwide.

TiE Sustainability Summit 2021

The TiE Sustainability Summit (TSS) 2021, hosted by TiE Hyderabad, was a groundbreaking event focused on promoting sustainable business practices, innovation, and entrepreneurship. This summit, one of the largest sustainability-focused gatherings organized by TiE, brought together over 25,000 participants, including global entrepreneurs, investors, industry leaders, and sustainability experts. By facilitating discussions on pressing environmental challenges and sustainable solutions, TSS 2021 positioned TiE Hyderabad as a leader in the global sustainability movement within the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The summit featured over 200 speakers and included panels, workshops, and networking sessions covering critical areas like renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, green technology, waste management, and climate action. Keynote speakers shared insights on integrating sustainability into core business practices, and innovators showcased emerging solutions addressing global environmental issues. The impact of TSS 2021 was significant, inspiring startups and established businesses alike to adopt sustainability as a core value. It catalyzed partnerships, investments, and mentorship opportunities aimed at developing environmentally responsible solutions. The event underscored TiE Hyderabad’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship that not only drives economic growth but also supports a sustainable future, reinforcing Hyderabad’s role as a hub for eco-conscious innovation.

TiE Global Summit (TGS) 2022

The TiE Global Summit (TGS) 2022, hosted by TiE Hyderabad, was a landmark event that elevated the entrepreneurial ecosystem with an impressive turnout and impactful programming. With over 3,000 registrations from 48 cities, the summit brought together 200+ speakers, engaging participants in 69 sessions, 9 masterclasses, and 32 round tables, offering deep insights across various business domains. Three specialized conclaves—SME, TiE Japan, and TiE Africa—fostered focused discussions and cross-border collaboration. The event also featured 100+ expo stalls where companies showcased their innovations, while the TiE Nurture Lounge facilitated thousands of valuable mentor-mentee connections.
Key Highlights and Impact:

  1. Masterclasses: Eight masterclasses led by globally recognized experts provided attendees with practical knowledge to refine their business skills and sharpen their strategic thinking.
  2. TiE Nurture Lounge: This mentorship hub allowed mentees to engage in one-on-one interactions with mentors and investors, leading to over 100 meaningful connections that have equipped startups with guidance and support for future growth.
  3. Investor Connects: TGS 2022 enabled startups to connect with potential investors, resulting in multiple investment opportunities that will propel entrepreneurial ventures.
  4. TGS 100: This new initiative aimed to spotlight the top 100 startups, offering them exposure and opportunities to attract investments and collaborations.

TYE Globals 2024

The TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) Global Finals 2024, hosted by TiE Hyderabad at IIIT Hyderabad on June 20–21, was a vibrant showcase of innovation and youthful energy. The two-day event brought together over 300 student participants from different schools, alongside inspiring speakers and mentors, with a total attendance of more than 400 people.

The Finals featured high-energy pitch competitions, keynote addresses by industry leaders, masterclasses on AI, sustainability, robotics, mental health, and gaming, as well as open mic sessions highlighting young achievers. Finalists from each Indian Chapter participated in the semi-finals in Hyderabad, with winners advancing to the Indian finals. In parallel, international finalists competed in Silicon Valley, hosted by TiE Silicon Valley. From this process, three Indian Chapter finalists and three Western Chapter finalists advanced to the Grand Finals, making it a truly global stage.

The cultural programs, corporate tours, and interactive workshops added depth to the learning experience, leaving students inspired and motivated.
